Hello, I am Louis
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Paris, France.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually opened a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in the original plan. As with many international assignments, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, higher expectations. Daily chores seemed more challenging than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began to create something that felt secure.
Why I Started SagebrushWorks
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance rooted in real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- First-hand experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated only when a genuine change occurs
This site isn't:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Louis
